How to submit final grades

Review the Grade & Narrative Evaluation Submission Guidelines for guidance on entering final official grades in Campus Cafe.
NOTE: grades are calculated in Moodle and final official grades are entered in Campus Cafe

How to submit final official grades in Campus Cafe

  1. Log in to Campus Cafe
  2. View your Roster for the class you wish to enter grades
  3. Scroll right of your Roster to the column titled Final Grade
  4. Click in the box for the student you wish to grade
  5. Type any letter to display a drop-down list of grade options
  6. Select the grade
  7. Leave the “Comment” section blank. All comments should be included in the Narrative Evaluation portion of grading

Grades save automatically once entered and are visible to students in My CU. You may change a grade in My CU up to the grade due deadline. Grade changes made after that date must be requested to the registrar.

A note about Moodle Gradebooks

  • The gradebook only reflects entered grades. This means if a student has submitted a few assignments but missed most of the other assignments; their actual grade will not be reflected in the gradebook until 0s are put in.
  • To reflect actual grades, faculty must put in 0s for missing work. Notify students in advance of updating your gradebook with 0s and be sure to indicate if you will accept late assignments in the feedback with the 0.
  • Wanna make sure you’ve got everything graded in the course? Check out the GradeMe feature in Moodle (2:26 minutes)!
  • Official midterm and final grades must be entered in Campus Cafe.

Incompletes

Please let your students know our Incomplete policy as early in the semester as possible.

If you give any Incomplete, please review and complete the online Incomplete form here (sign in with your CU credentials).

NOTE:  Incomplete Grade Request Forms must be submitted by the course instructor by the ending date of the course. You can review Incomplete Grade policies in the Academic Catalog.
